Ryan received both his undergraduate and master’s degrees in History at the University of Essex.

Josh is a research student at the University of Essex in the Department of History.

Born and raised in Kent, Tim lived for many years in Cornwall, and now lives in Suffolk with his wife.

Josh completed his PhD at the University of Southampton in 2017. His research focused on former psychiatric asylum sites and their continued presence in the UK, looking at themes such as memory, stigma, conservation, and governance.

James was born in Colchester and received his Master’s in History at the University of Essex. His dissertation was on the role and memory of RAF Bomber Command during the Battle of Britain.

Percy has completed his MA in History at Essex University and is now researching the Co-operative Movement for his PhD at Essex. He retired from the City in 2013 and took on an outside voluntary role as Chairman of the Chelmsford Diocesan Board of Finance.

Ashleigh Percival-Borley is a military and gender historian having just completed an MA in War, Culture and Society and now currently studying an MA in Military History. She is also on the Board of Trustees for the Combined Military Services Museum in Maldon Essex.

Paul Stickler is a former Hampshire Constabulary police officer who retired with the rank of chief superintendent. During his career he specialised in murder investigations and was seconded to the FBI in Quantico, Virginia where he studied forensic and behavioural science.
