The Historians - Political History

Katelyn is currently a post-doctoral fellow at Wilfrid Laurier University in the Office of the Associate Vice President, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion working on research for the Laurier Legacy project.

Percy has completed his MA in History at Essex University and is now researching the Co-operative Movement for his PhD at Essex. He retired from the City in 2013 and took on an outside voluntary role as Chairman of the Chelmsford Diocesan Board of Finance.

Mike is a retired NHS Manager, and has a strong interest in history, especially gender and women’s history.

Liam received his master’s degree in history from the University of Essex in 2018 and returned at the start of this year to begin a PhD.

Michael, a long-time resident of Kent, now in exile in Essex, is currently researching how the British Civil Wars were remembered in the long nineteenth century, focusing in on Colchester.

Lewis is a research student at the University of Essex in the Department of History.

Paul Stickler is a former Hampshire Constabulary police officer who retired with the rank of chief superintendent. During his career he specialised in murder investigations and was seconded to the FBI in Quantico, Virginia where he studied forensic and behavioural science.

Chris has been teaching History to Foundation / Year 0 students here at the University for the past 7 years.
