Ryan Clarke
Ryan received both his undergraduate and master’s degrees in History at the University of Essex.
Ryan is particularly interested in the end of empire in southern Africa with particular interest in Zimbabwean history. He recently visited Zimbabwe and was based in the capital Harare where completed his field research in 2019. Aside from his doctoral research, Ryan plays guitar and bass with a particular interest in Americana, jazz and heavy metal.
